Information
COVID-19
Filey Bird Garden & Animal Park is an outdoor attraction with plenty of space to social distance - research shows that you are much less likely to get coronavirus whilst outside. Like all businesses in the current situation, we are working very hard to keep everyone safe, and have implemented a number of additional measures based on official guidance. However, it is your responsibility to follow these and maintain social distancing. Please do not visit if you are showing COVID-19 symptoms.
If, having read these measures, you still feel uncomfortable about visiting, we hope you will return when things get back to ‘normal’.
By entering the park you agree to follow all signage and instructions. Visitors found to be breaching these may be asked to leave without a refund.
We ask that you are polite and patient with both staff and other visitors. If you have any problems or concerns please inform a member of staff
To ensure the safety of our staff, visitors and animals we have caried out a comprehensive Risk Assessment and implemented the following measures:
Visitor numbers closely monitored and will be limited if necessary
Screens at service areas
Additional hand sanitising stations and sinks
Additional cleaning in toilets and high contact areas
Limited snack menu from the cafe with reduced indoor seating
Additional picnic tables spaced around the park
Contactless payments up to £45 (cash and chip & pin accepted)
No scheduled keeper talks/animal feeding to discourage crowds
Pre-booking is not currently required.
Test and Trace: We are part of the NHS Test and Trace system and are displaying a poster for visitors to scan when they enter if they wish to. Alternatively visitors may complete a paper form leaving a contact name and telephone number, this information will be stored securely for 21 days and then destroyed unless it is requested by the NHS. It will not be used for any other purposes. This is no longer compulsory, but the government do encourage people to use this system to help control the virus.
Face masks are not compulsory anywhere in the park including the cafe and gift shop, but we ask that those wearing masks dispose of them responsibly to protect our staff, animals and the environment.
Although every effort has been made to allow easy social distancing, some narrow areas will require you to step back and wait to allow others to exit the area before you can enter.
Measures will be reviewed and changed in line with official guidance
